At the Museum of the Perron old cheese factory, we offer an offer specially designed for groups wishing to live an authentic, gourmet and educational experience in the heart of the regional cheese heritage.

An immersive guided tour

Your group will start the activity with a guided tour of the museum, allowing you to discover the history of the cheese factory, the manufacturing methods of the past as well as the evolution of dairy processing techniques. Accompanied by a passionate guide, participants explore historical facilities and vintage equipment, while learning more about the importance of the cheese industry in the development of the region.

We can accommodate groups of 12 to more than 40 people.
For groups of more than 40 participants, the group will be divided into two sub-groups, each accompanied by its own guide to ensure a personalized, dynamic and quality experience.

Manufacturing workshops

The experience continues with a manufacturing workshop, of your choice or combined according to your needs:

Butter-making workshop: the participants discover the traditional method of processing cream into butter and experiment with the artisanal gestures of yesteryear.

Cheese-making workshop: participatory activity to understand the different stages of processing milk into cheese, as well as the factors that influence texture, taste and ripening.

The maximum capacity for the cheese making workshop is 24 participants at a time. For larger groups, it is possible to organize two successive workshops so that everyone can fully live the experience. The butter-making workshop can also be adapted depending on the size of the group.

Commented tasting :

The visit concludes with a guided tasting of four carefully selected cheeses:

a fresh cheese,
a Swiss type cheese,
a cheese aged 2 years,
a cheese aged 4 years.

This tasting allows to appreciate the evolution of flavors and textures according to the maturing time, while offering a friendly and gourmet moment.
